Members of the Winters Farm to School presented a check for $50,000

Members of the Winters Farm to School presented a check for $50,000 to the Winters Joint Unified School District Board at their School Board meeting last Thursday. This money has been used to help provide healthier food choices for Winters children by adding additional local fresh fruit, nuts and vegetables to school meal programs. The Winters Farm to School Program raised these funds with the generous support of local individuals, businesses and farmers. The main fundraising event for Winters Farm to School is their Bastille Day Feast which will be held this year on Saturday, July 11th at the historic Wolfskill Ranch.
