$42,700 raised!

Winters Farm to School Board Members, Cathy Olsen, Carolyn Vocelka, Patty Rominger, Gloria Lopez and Emarie VanGalio, presented the Winters School Board with a check for $42,700 at their March 15, 2018 Board Meeting. School Board Members Rudolph Muldong, Carrie Green, Robert Warren, Ralph Anderson and Michael Olivas were pleased to receive the large donation.

The $42,700 was raised at Winters Farm to School’s last summer fundraiser and will primarily be used to purchase fresh fruits, nuts and vegetables for our school meal programs. Funds will also be used to support the school gardens at Waggoner and Rominger Schools and to fund a Kids Farmers Market Coordination. Winters Farm to School is an all-volunteer non-profit and all monies raised go directly toward promoting the health and well-being of our school children.

Winters Farm to School will host its 7th annual summer fundraiser, A Summer Solstice Feast, on Saturday, June 23rd at the historic Wolfskill Ranch. Tickets are $100 per person if purchased before May 1st and $125 per person thereafter. Tickets are on sale now at ACE Hardware in Winters, at www.wintersfarmtoschool.com or by calling Cathy Olsen at 530-795-6109.
